Matric exams 2026 schedule announced

The matric examinations in Balochistan will begin on February 10, 2026, Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti announced.

The announcement was made by the Balochistan chief minister through his social media account on X. He made it clear that no leniency would be shown in matters of cheating and strict steps would be taken to prevent malpractice.

Bugti said that police, deputy commissioners and the education department will jointly work to eliminate cheating during the exams.

He further stated that the provincial government is committed to eliminating corruption from every sector, including education.

Balochistan has recently faced several deadly attacks in different areas of the province, which were quickly countered by Pakistan’s armed forces.

Terrorist attacks targeted several districts including Quetta, Gwadar, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan and Pasni. The attacks involved armed militants and suicide bombers.

According to sources, during the three day operation, 22 personnel from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, Police, and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency were martyred while protecting the country and civilians. The sources added that 197 terrorists were killed during the operation.
