Gold prices have surged to record highs in both global and local markets. In the international market, gold soared by $54 per ounce, reaching an all-time high of $3,940.
In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs5,400, setting a new record at Rs415,278, while the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs4,629 to Rs356,033 , the highest level ever seen.
Spot gold traded at $3,940.04 per ounce, up 1.4% after touching $3,949.34 earlier in the session.
In comparison, silver rose 1.2% to $48.53 per ounce, its highest level in over 14 years, while platinum increased 0.6% to $1,615.45 and palladium gained 1.6% to $1,280.75.
