The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its latest three-day weather forecast for Karachi, predicting partly cloudy and humid conditions from Thursday, August 6, to Saturday, August 8. Drizzle is also expected at isolated places during the night and morning as the ongoing monsoon continues to influence the city’s weather.
Karachi Weather on Thursday, August 6
Karachi is expected to experience partly cloudy skies with humid conditions throughout Thursday. There is a chance of drizzle during the night.
The maximum temperature is likely to stay between 32°C and 34°C, while the minimum temperature was recorded at around 28°C overnight.
Morning humidity remained at 71 percent and is expected to stay between 60 and 70 percent during the evening. Southwesterly winds will continue to blow across the city.
Karachi Weather on Friday, August 7
Weather conditions on Friday are expected to remain much the same, with partly cloudy skies and humid weather. Drizzle may occur during both the night and early morning hours.
The maximum temperature will remain between 32°C and 34°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to range from 27°C to 29°C.
Morning humidity is forecast between 70 and 80 percent before falling to 55 to 65 percent by evening. Winds will continue from the southwest.
Karachi Weather on Saturday, August 8
Saturday is expected to bring similar weather, with partly cloudy skies, humid conditions, and a chance of drizzle during the night and morning.
The maximum temperature may rise slightly to between 33°C and 35°C, while the minimum temperature will remain between 27°C and 29°C.
Humidity during the morning is expected to stay between 70 and 80 percent before easing to 55 to 65 percent in the evening. Southwesterly winds will continue.
Monsoon Keeps Karachi Cooler Than Interior Sindh
The PMD said hot and humid weather is likely to continue across most parts of Sindh during the forecast period. However, coastal areas, including Karachi, are expected to remain relatively cooler because of partly cloudy skies and the possibility of drizzle.
The drizzle expected during the night and morning reflects the continued impact of moisture from the Arabian Sea along the coastline during the monsoon season.
Humidity to Remain High
Thursday and Friday are expected to be the coolest days of the forecast period, with daytime temperatures staying between 32°C and 34°C. Saturday may see a slight increase in temperature to 33-35°C.
Humidity is likely to remain high throughout the three days. Thursday evening may feel slightly more humid than the following two days, while Friday and Saturday mornings are expected to be warm and muggy, with humidity reaching 70 to 80 percent.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the afternoon.
Light Drizzle Likely at Night and in the Morning
There is a chance of isolated drizzle on all three days, mainly in coastal areas. On Thursday, drizzle is expected during the night, while on Friday and Saturday it may continue into the morning.
The rainfall is not expected to be widespread, but the persistent moisture will keep the weather humid, especially during the early hours of the day.
The weather information in this report is based on data released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
