Expected date for Eid ul Adha 2026 announced

Eid al-Adha 2026 in Pakistan is expected to fall on Wednesday, May 27, though the final announcement will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after the official sighting of the moon.

According to reports from Emirati media, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society, said that the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah is likely to begin on May 18, while the Day of Arafah may be observed on May 26.

Astronomy experts also shared that the Dhu al-Hijjah crescent is expected to be born on May 17. By sunset that day, the moon’s age and height above the horizon are expected to make its sighting possible.
