Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior, son of the late politician Mir Murtaza Bhutto, has officially announced his decision to step into politics.
In a statement, Bhutto Jr. confirmed that he would begin his political journey with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shaheed Bhutto group, the party founded by his father.
“I indeed intend to enter politics, and I will begin with the PPP Shaheed Bhutto group,” he stated, as reported by a local news channel.

He emphasized his commitment to carrying forward his father’s legacy and expressed his ambition to lead the group in the future.
However, he acknowledged that he still has much to learn about his country and its people, stating that he does not yet have all the answers and is preparing himself for the political path ahead.
Bhutto Jr. also raised concerns about the severe water crisis in Sindh, describing it as a life-and-death issue for the province.
He went on to call the water shortage a form of “cultural genocide,” warning that both human and animal life in the region are at risk if the crisis is not addressed.
Commenting on the growing unrest in Sindh, he remarked that the provincial government is “trembling” as protests continue to spread, involving schoolchildren and women.
He further pointed out that authorities are now shifting their stance in response to the mounting public pressure.
