Rose Hanbury, known as the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, is a prominent figure in royal circles. She’s often seen at royal events, showcasing her elegant style and family jewels. But who is she?

Rose Hanbury was born in 1984 to Timothy and Emma Hanbury in Essex, England. Her mother, Lady Elizabeth Longman, was close friends with Queen Elizabeth II until her passing in 2016.

After school, Rose pursued modeling and worked as a researcher for a member of parliament. She married David Cholmondeley, the 7th Marquis of Cholmondeley, in 2009, joining one of Britain’s distinguished aristocratic families.

The couple resides in Houghton Hall in Norfolk, near the Sandringham estate where the royals spend Christmas. Rose and her husband have three children: twin boys and a daughter.

Rose’s connection to Prince William and Kate Middleton likely began through their shared Norfolk neighborhood. They’ve been spotted together at various events, including a reception in 2016 and the coronation of King Charles III in 2023, where their son was a Page of Honor.
