India’s star batsman Virat Kohli sustained an injury just ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand.
The highly anticipated final is scheduled for Sunday, 9 March in Dubai. Kohli suffered a minor injury during net practice at the ICC Academy on Friday.
Reports indicate that while facing fast bowlers in the nets, a sharp delivery struck Kohli on the knee, forcing him to halt his practice session immediately.
India’s physiotherapy team quickly attended to him, applied a spray, and wrapped the affected area with a bandage.
Despite the setback, Kohli remained on the field, closely observing the remainder of the training session and keeping his teammates and coaching staff informed about his condition.
Later, the Indian coaching staff assured that Kohli’s injury was not serious and confirmed that he would be fully fit to participate in the final.
