The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a scholarship program to provide higher education opportunities for students from Balochistan.
Following a written examination across various districts, 25 students have been selected, including 5 female candidates. These students will pursue their education at some of the top institutions in the UAE.
The initiative is designed to offer the youth of Pakistan, particularly those from Balochistan, access to global educational opportunities.
The recipients expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the governments of Pakistan, the UAE, and the Pakistan Army for making this opportunity possible.
The students mentioned that this scholarship marks a significant milestone in their academic journey and they plan to use their education to make their province and country proud.
Previously, the Sindh government introduced a scholarship program for six deserving students to study at Oxford University under the Benazir Bhutto Graduate Scholarship.
The announcement came after a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed in London. The signing ceremony was attended by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who emphasized the role of education in empowerment and progress.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that each year, three male and three female students from Sindh would receive this scholarship in collaboration with Oxford Pakistan.
Additionally, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the expansion of the Honhaar Scholarship Scheme to include students from other provinces, furthering educational opportunities across Pakistan.
