The winter weather in Pakistan continues to present contrasting conditions, with snowfall continuing in Murree while much of Punjab remains dry.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the ongoing dry spell is expected to continue for the next few days, leading to a gradual rise in temperatures.
Across Punjab, including Lahore, dry conditions are predicted to last for another three to four days.
The city recorded a minimum temperature of 11°C, with the daytime high expected to reach 24°C today. The absence of rain has resulted in warmer afternoons and cooler nights.
While some parts of Upper Punjab are experiencing cloudy weather, meteorologists do not expect any significant rainfall in the coming days.
In contrast, Murree continues to receive snowfall, enhancing its winter charm.
Authorities are actively working to maintain road safety, with the Communication and Works (C&W) Department spreading salt on highways to prevent ice buildup.
Snow removal teams, equipped with loaders and snow blowers, are ensuring that roads remain accessible for travelers.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) is bracing for rain and thunderstorms, which are expected to bring a drop in temperature across several districts.

Similarly, Mansehra, Kohistan, Battagram, Mohmand, Bajaur, and Kurram are also expected to experience precipitation.
