This tragic event is the latest in a series of violent attacks in Balochistan. Just a few days earlier, four workers from Punjab were shot and killed by armed men in Mangochar, Balochistan.

These workers had been installing tube wells in Langzai when they were attacked. Officials confirmed that the victims were from Sadiqabad, Punjab.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the targeted killing of five passengers in Gwadar’s Kalmat area on Thursday.

In their separate statements, both leaders expressed deep sorrow and prayed for the departed souls, speedy recovery of the injured, and strength for the grieving families.

President Zardari stressed that terrorists are enemies of the country’s progress and Balochistan’s development, saying that such forces do not want peace in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered authorities to provide the best medical care for the injured and conduct a thorough investigation to bring the attackers to justice.

He denounced the criminals as enemies of peace and progress and vowed that the government would defeat any anti-state agendas.

The prime minister also praised the security forces and law enforcement agencies for their continued efforts in protecting the nation, stating that the country takes pride in their dedication.
