The Sindh government has declared a public holiday across the province on Wednesday, May 1, to mark International Labour Day.
As per a notification from the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, all government and semi-government offices will remain closed.
The announcement also confirmed that all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, will observe the holiday as well.
Labour Day, celebrated worldwide on May 1, honors the contributions of workers and emphasizes the need to safeguard their rights and ensure fair treatment for industrial and daily wage laborers.
This holiday reflects the Sindh government’s acknowledgment of the working class’s struggles and its commitment to protecting their rights.
