Meanwhile, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), the provincial government has also finalized the summer vacation schedule for both public and private schools.

According to a notice from the K-P Department of Education, primary schools located in the plain areas, referred to as the summer zone, will be closed from June 1 to August 31.

For middle, high, and higher secondary schools in these areas, holidays will begin a bit later, starting from June 15 and lasting until August 31.

For schools situated in the colder, mountainous regions, known as the winter zone, the summer holidays will be observed from July 1 to July 31.

The K-P Education Department confirmed that this timetable will be followed uniformly by both public and private schools in each respective zone.

In Punjab, the summer vacation schedule was announced earlier, with all schools across the province set to close starting May 28.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat explained that this move was necessary due to the ongoing severe heatwave.
