Karachi: All public and private educational institutions across the country will observe a holiday in the first week of February 2025, as per the annual holiday schedule announced by the government a few weeks ago.
Schools, colleges, and universities will remain closed on February 5 to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed to express Pakistan’s support and unity with the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir in their ongoing struggle for freedom and to honor the Kashmiri martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the cause.
Every year, Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day to reaffirm its unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination, as recognized in the UN Charter and relevant UN resolutions.
School Holiday Notification Feb 2025
As per the official holiday schedule, February 5 will be observed as a public holiday across Pakistan. However, a formal notification regarding the holiday will be issued by the government a day or two before the date, as per the practice.
