The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that it will not be open to the public on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, as the day will be observed as a bank holiday to mark the start of the new fiscal year 2025-26.
In line with this, all commercial banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) will also remain closed for public dealings on that day.
However, the staff of these institutions will still report to work as usual.
“All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date. However, employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office as usual,” the statement added.
