The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has denied reports claiming it will not issue fresh banknotes.
SBP confirmed that it will continue its tradition of providing fresh currency to commercial banks for Eid-ul-Fitr, using its nationwide branches to ensure public access.

So far, SBP has distributed Rs. 27 billion in fresh banknotes of various denominations to 17,000 commercial bank branches for public use.
Additionally, steps have been taken to keep ATMs stocked with high-quality banknotes throughout the festive period.
To ensure proper distribution, SBP has deployed cash monitoring teams for onsite inspections at bank branches, ensuring fresh notes reach the public.
