Ruby Anum is a stage artist, actor, and comedian from Pakistan who is very well known and is famous for her adaptable performances and energetic personality.
She has played various roles on several popular television shows, such as Gustakhian, Khabarnak, Gugu Cafe, and Chal Mera Putt 2 & 3.
Due to her heart condition being unstable, Ruby lessened her television appearances but continues to participate in interviews and occasional comedy programs from time to time.
Not long ago, Ruby appeared on Rehan Tariq’s podcast for 24 Plus, criticizing the trend of praising divorce among women. Discussing the rising divorce rate, she presented her views.
Ruby said, “You have to put effort into making your marriage successful. Nowadays, many elderly women are promoting divorce. What message are you sending by implying that getting a divorce is okay?.”
Adding that “They casually say we were not compatible, but in doing so, they put your children’s lives and future at stake. Don’t normalize divorce with statements like, We didn’t get along, so we separated. Why didn’t you try to adjust? Why are you sharing this publicly and glorifying it?.”
Frustrated with people’s choices, she further added, “What purpose does it serve to announce it? I want to highlight the reality for all older women who boast about their numerous proposals and multiple marriages. They should reflect on themselves before making statements about their marital choices.”
Ruby concluded the discussion with her last statement, saying, “Divorce isn’t good. How can an elderly woman flaunt her marriage in front of her grandchildren? Won’t she feel ashamed?”
