The rainfall has led to a drop in temperatures, offering a welcome change for residents. The rain is expected to persist until March 16, with Lahore experiencing temperatures ranging from a minimum of 16°C to a maximum of 27°C.

Other parts of central and upper Punjab are also predicted to receive rainfall. The cool weather has brought comfort, particularly for those fasting during Ramadan.

Yesterday, the Meteorological Department predicted that a rain-bearing system would enter Pakistan, bringing showers across Punjab from March 14 to 16.

At present, most districts are experiencing dry weather, with occasional cloud cover and fluctuating temperatures. Lahore’s temperature is expected to range between 17°C and 29°C.

Previously, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) had forecast rain from March 9 to 16, but no significant rainfall had been recorded until now.

While dry conditions are expected to continue mostly today, cloud cover may offer temporary respite from the sun.
