Punjab to experience dry, pleasant weather during Eidul Fitr holidays

Punjab will enjoy dry yet pleasant weather during the Eidul Fitr holidays, per the latest forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Cooler winds are making their way  across the province, largely influenced by snowfall in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, improving conditions in central and eastern Pakistan.

In Lahore, temperatures slightly dropped on Friday, with the minimum falling to 16°C from 18°C and the maximum expected to stay around 30°C instead of the previous forecast of 32°C.

Dry weather is expected to persist, while the return of cold winds has made mornings and evenings cooler and more comfortable.

A meteorological expert noted that “the weather system has shifted, bringing dry air and cooler winds,” and this trend is expected to last through the Eid holidays.

Officials have confirmed that no rain is anticipated, with clear skies likely across most of Punjab.

This seasonal shift provides ideal conditions for families traveling or planning outdoor celebrations during Eid. Meanwhile, a recent weather system brought rain and strong winds to end weeks of dryness in some parts of Punjab.

Showers and gusty winds were reported in districts like Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Sargodha, whereas Lahore and other areas remained mostly cloudy with occasional sunshine but no rain.
