Punjab Police provides healthcare support to officers, families

The Punjab Police has introduced a financial assistance package aimed at supporting the healthcare needs of its serving and retired personnel, with a total allocation of Rs3.45 million, according to the department’s spokesperson.

The Inspector General of Punjab Police approved the funds based on recommendations from the Medical Financial Assistance Committee.

Among the recipients, retired Constable Muhammad Iqbal and Traffic Warden Farhan Parvez were each granted Rs1 million for a liver transplant and kidney treatment, respectively.

Other beneficiaries include Constable Ziaullah, who received Rs500,000 for surgery, and Head Constable Irfan Shahid, awarded Rs250,000 for cancer treatment. Sub-Inspector Aurangzeb was given Rs200,000 for heart-related care.

Assistant Sub-Inspectors Ehsan, Qamaruddin, and Dildar Subhani each received Rs100,000, while retired Constables Asghar Ali and Farhat Abbas were also allotted Rs200,000 apiece for medical costs.

“This initiative reflects Punjab Police’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel, both active and retired.”
