On Monday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced an increase in the distribution of electric bikes to students across the province, raising the target to 100,000 to facilitate the students in Pakistan.
During her address at an event at Bahauddin Zakaria University in Multan for the Honahaar Scholarship Program, she stated that this initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to provide the best possible support to students in Punjab, according to Radio Pakistan.
CM emphasized that the federal government is dedicated to implementing measures aimed at facilitating students’ educational and transportation needs. So far, the government has distributed 30,000 electric bikes.
In addition, the government plans to extend financial assistance to deserving students and provide interest-free loans to young entrepreneurs.
