ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially released the updated syllabus for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 on its website, laying out the essential structure and content for this year’s entry test.
The revised syllabus covers five core areas: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning, with a strong emphasis on understanding concepts and applying critical thinking skills.
PMDC has urged prospective candidates to begin their studies based on this newly published outline.
While the exact date for the MDCAT exam has not been confirmed yet, officials noted it would be announced soon after final discussions with the universities conducting the test.
Uncertainly, the exam is expected on either the last Sunday of September or the first Sunday of October 2025.
As per the shared format, the test will include 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), divided into levels of difficulty: 15% easy, 70% moderate, and 15% difficult. Candidates will have three hours to complete the paper. “No negative marking will be applied.”
The statement further clarified that to be eligible for admission, candidates must score at least 55% for medical colleges and 50% for dental colleges.
