Humidity is expected to hover around 50% during the day and drop to about 25% in the evening, adding to residents’ discomfort.

Authorities have advised people, especially children, senior citizens, and women, to be cautious during this period.

Citizens are strongly encouraged to limit their time outdoors during the hottest hours and to stay hydrated to avoid heatstroke and related illnesses.

Some relief is expected in the upper and central areas of Sindh, where occasional gusty winds may ease the heat slightly.

Elsewhere in the country, rain, thunderstorms, and windstorms are likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, the Pothohar region, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Isolated areas may even see heavy rain accompanied by hail within the next 12 hours.

Morning temperatures recorded today were: Islamabad 21°C, Lahore 27°C, Karachi 28°C, Peshawar 23°C, Quetta 23°C, Gilgit 17°C, Muzaffarabad 17°C, and Murree 13°C.
