PIA resumes flights to Paris, expands new routes

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume its direct flights to Paris on January 10, 2025 after four years to strengthen its presence in Europe.

According to sources, two flights will be operated weekly between Islamabad and Paris. The first flight, PK749, will depart from Islamabad at 12:00 pm on January 10, with over 300 passengers on board.

The event will be closely monitored by Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif, PIA’s acting CEO Khurram Mushtaq, and the Secretary of Aviation.

The send-off ceremony will mark the launch of a new chapter for its business, tourism, and diplomatic relations. A spokesperson for PIA noted, “The Boeing 777 will depart for Paris fully booked, and the upcoming four flights are also fully reserved in advance.”

In addition, PIA is expanding its operations with new domestic and international flights. The airline will introduce its services between Sialkot and Bahrain two times in a week, as well as a weekly flight between Lahore and Kuwait will start on January 25. Furthermore, two weekly flights will be launched from Lahore to Dammam from January 22.
