Petrol price in Pakistan latest from August 14

Pakistan’s government has reduced the petrol prices by Rs 8.47 per liter for the next 15 days, providing relief to citizens who are facing a lot of issues during these inflation periods.

According to the private news channel, PM Shehbaz Sharif announced a reduction in petrol prices as a “Gift to the nation on Independence Day”.

The petrol price is now reduced by Rs 8.47 per liter, the previous price was Rs 269.43 and the new price is Rs 260.96.

Moreover, the diesel price has also been reduced by Rs 6.7 per liter, bringing it down from Rs 272.77 to Rs 266.07 per liter.

The Finance Division notification read, “The Oil [and] Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices of petroleum products, based on the price variations in the international market. The prices of Motor Spirit [and] HSD for the next fortnight, starting from 14th August 2024,”

The notification did not state any reduction in the prices of light diesel oil and kerosene oil.

This reduction will be a big relief for the people as truly it will be a gift for them on the occasion of 77th Independence Day August 14.
