Internet issues in Pakistan are expected to be resolved soon after widespread issues linked to a new firewall. Since last week, internet speeds across the country have slowed, making it difficult to access social media platforms.

Pakistanis are facing difficulties in using WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, along with other online services. The disruptions have impacted many users, but steps are being taken to address the problem swiftly.

Internet firewalls have been installed to monitor and control crime and other unnecessary activity on the internet. The firewall is installed to keep an eye on controversial content and reduce the spread of fake news on social media.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) says a firewall isn’t to blame for the internet problems, but service providers believe the real cause is the government’s tighter monitoring

According to ProPakistani, sources say that mobile signals and internet services in Pakistan have been interrupted due to the installation of a firewall.

Sources have confirmed that internet services, mobile signals, and social media apps should return to normal within two to three days, as the authorities have successfully finished a second firewall test.
