The replica was designed and built by Mughal Safeguard at their Sialkot Road, Civil Lines branch. Muhammad took this project for a request from a client who wanted his car to resemble like Elon Musk’s futuristic Cybertruck.
Although made locally, the design of the replica closely resembles Tesla’s original Cybertruck. Its sharp, angular shape and futuristic appearance highlight the exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. The entire project reportedly cost Rs3 million and has been delivered to the client.
Following the completion of the replica, social media users started sharing it and called it the “Pakistani Tesla.” The innovative project received a mix of admiration and amusement from the public.
One social media user, Saad Qaiser, wrote, “Pakistan’s first locally made Cybertruck. Elon Musk, it’s time to open a manufacturing plant in Pakistan.”
Another user, Khalid Mustafa, commented, “Elon Musk, your Cybertruck prototype is roaming the streets of Pakistan. Local engineers have given it a desi twist. Check out this masterpiece.”
Several social media posts took a humorous approach, highlighting the resourcefulness of Pakistani engineers. One comment humorously stated, “Jugaad rocked, Elon Musk shocked. The Cybertruck is now available in Pakistan for just $1,000.”
While the Tesla’s original Cybertruck, envisioned by Elon Musk, is an electric pickup truck equipped with stainless steel armor, advanced suspension, and armored windows, its price starts at $102,000, making it inaccessible for many in Pakistan.
On the other hand, the locally made Cybertruck provides a more affordable and imaginative alternative, bringing a glimpse of Tesla’s innovation to the streets of Gujranwala.
