A Pakistani doctor’s quick actions saved a passenger’s life during a flight to Saudi Arabia. Dr. Rizwana Nadeem, from Hala in Matiari district, was travelling for Umrah when a passenger fell ill.
This incident took place mid-flight. Without hesitation, the lady provided emergency medical care that kept the patient’s condition stable until the plane landed safely.
Saudi Airlines recognised her heroic efforts by presenting a Certificate of Excellent Performance.
Back home, Hyderabad Commissioner Bilal Ahmed and Matiari’s Deputy Commissioner presented her with an honorary shield. Commissioner Bilal Ahmed praised her, adding that she was a role model for all of us.
He said, “Dr Rizwana Nadeem is a pride of our society. She prioritised service to humanity over everything else. Her spirit is worth emulating, and we will continue to highlight such exemplary figures to promote a culture of compassion and positivity”.
