Pakistan, Saudi Arabia join hands to promote Showbiz industry

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Information, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia decided to establish a joint committee to produce songs, films, and documentaries. This initiative aims to strengthen collaboration in the media industry between the two nations.

Pakistan’s Information Minister, Ataullah Tarar, met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Media, Salman Al-Dossary, in Riyadh during the fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum.

The event, which brings together over 200 media professionals, innovators, and experts worldwide, is being held under the theme “Media in an Evolving World.”

It will continue from Wednesday to Friday. The Ministry of Information confirmed the decision: “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agree to form a joint committee for joint productions, songs, films, and documentaries.”

Discussions also covered journalist exchange programs and training opportunities to enhance media cooperation. The two ministers focused on strengthening media relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

They stressed the role of the media in promoting regional peace and stability and discussed ways to counter misinformation and propaganda. Tarar repeated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The Ministers also highlighted the growing economic partnership between Islamabad and Riyadh. Tarar recognized how the brotherly ties between both nations are deepening, evolving beyond traditional diplomatic relations into economic and media collaborations.

Al-Dossary also acknowledged the contributions of Pakistani professionals to Saudi Arabia’s development. “Promoting cooperation with Pakistan in all sectors, including information, is our priority,” Al-Dossary stated, as Pakistan’s Ministry of Information quoted.

With this new partnership, both countries aim to enhance their media industries while fostering cultural and economic ties that continue to grow stronger over time.
