Pakistan condemns US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, which came on the heels of earlier attacks by Israel.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office Spokesperson expressed grave concern, saying, “We are deeply concerned about the potential for further escalation of tensions in the region. These attacks violate international law, and Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself under the UN Charter.”

The spokesperson warned that the continued violence and hostilities risk plunging the region into deeper instability, with consequences that could stretch far beyond the immediate area.

He further stressed the importance of protecting civilian lives and infrastructure, urging a swift end to hostilities. “All parties must adhere to international law, particularly International Humanitarian Law,” he emphasized.
