The National Logistics Corporation and Dubai Ports are partnering to launch a shipping service that will transport goods from Karachi to Chittagong and vice versa. This opportunity is part of a strategy to improve trade and regional connections with South Asia.
NLC and DP World have done various such projects before this one and have shipped more than 1,000 containers between Pakistan and Bangladesh since they started the direct shipping business in October.
The first container service from Karachi to Jable Ali will start with the first NLC vessel, which has a capacity of 1,100 TEUs, on January 13th, whereas the second vessel, which has the same capacity, will set sail by the end of January.
Alongside these trips, an edible oil vessel is scheduled to set sail in February 2025, increasing the chances for more joint efforts like these in the future.
This calculated step can be seen as a source for the beginning of a significant positive change in regional trade.
This partnership between NLC and its regional partner is not just any logistics operation but a proper source of the foundation of a fully completed plan that will be used to promote healthy economic growth, combined success, and high progression all over the region for both companies.
