New requirement announced for Sindh college admissions 2025: Details here

KARACHI: The Sindh education department has introduced a new rule requiring the submission of the father’s domicile for student admissions, while scrapping the previous need for the student’s own domicile and PRC.

This change has sparked widespread concern among both parents and students.

An official explained to the media that, to streamline the process, submission of 5th and 8th-grade results is no longer necessary. Additionally, even students who failed in two subjects in 9th grade are now eligible to apply.

However, the requirement for the father’s domicile has led to repeated trips to government offices, with many families struggling to get the necessary paperwork.

Citizens have expressed frustration, saying this new system has become yet another hurdle in the admissions process.

Admissions will remain open until July 15, with merit lists scheduled to be posted from July 22.

“Students who fail to confirm their admission within the given time will have their names removed from the list, and the seat will be given to another candidate.”
