LAHORE: Renowned fashion designer Mahmood Ahmad Tahir Bhatti, known for his international success and glamorous lifestyle, is now caught in a serious legal dispute as a family maintenance case unfolds against him in the Lahore Family Court.
According to official court records, the case (No. 83041225) was filed on March 6, 2025, under the category of “Suit for Maintenance.” This type of case typically arises when a spouse is allegedly denied emotional and financial support.

The proceedings have now reached the Proclamation stage, often indicating avoidance or failure to appear before the court. Civil Judge Rana Asif Mustafa is overseeing the matter.
While Bhatti’s public image reflects glitz and global acclaim, court proceedings suggest a different side marked by alleged neglect, emotional distance, and deeper family rifts.
The dispute appears to extend beyond spousal support, touching on issues like inheritance, responsibility, and questions of moral integrity.
As the legal net tightens, it raises a powerful question, can success on the global stage excuse failure at home?
