Preparations are in full swing for Qurbani as Lahore gears up for Eid ul Azha 2025. The city’s festive spirit around the ‘Festival of Sacrifice’ is building, and authorities have laid out detailed plans to accommodate the large number of animals and visitors expected this season.

Lahore’s Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza led a key meeting on Tuesday to review all arrangements.

The district administration has designated five temporary cattle markets to be set up at Raiwind, Wahga Sports Complex, Nishtar LDA City, Ravi (Mouza Nain Sukh), and Burki Road. Additionally, the city’s permanent Shahpur Kanjran cattle market will stay open throughout the Eid period.

Bakra Mandi Locations in Lahore 2025:

  • Wahga Sports Complex
  • Nishtar LDA City
  • Ravi (Mouza Nain Sukh)
  • Burki Road
  • Raiwind
  • Shahpur Kanjran

Several government departments, including Punjab Police, Traffic Police, LWMC, and the Punjab Cattle Market Management Company, are working together to ensure the markets are safe, clean, and easy to access.

On-site arrangements will include tents, lighting, drinking water, sanitation, and mobile ATMs. Security will be handled by the police, while LWMC will oversee cleanliness.

Authorities are also cracking down on illegal cattle markets, encouraging citizens to report any unauthorized setups through the DC Control Room or official social media channels.

In 2024, over 680,000 animals were sacrificed across Pakistan during Eid. This year, hide prices have already been announced in key cities.

Eid ul Azha 2025 Dates:

Eid-ul-Adha is expected to fall on Saturday, June 7, 2025, and continue through Monday, June 9, depending on moon sighting. These dates are tentative and will be confirmed closer to the time.

Compared to Eid-ul-Fitr, the Eid-ul-Adha holidays are expected to be shorter, especially for students, who usually enjoy a longer time off during the earlier festival.
