KP to support families of deceased breadwinners with aid package

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a financial support initiative for families who lose their breadwinners.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that families would receive Rs1 million if the deceased breadwinner was under 60 years of age, and the families of breadwinners who were above 60 would be granted Rs500,000, according to ARY News.

CM highlighted that these measures are part of efforts to transform KP into a “State of Madinah.”

Moreover in previous year, the federal cabinet has also approved a financial aid package for the families of missing persons so under this initiative, families will receive Rs5 million for legal and financial needs.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar announced the decision, explaining that PM Shehbaz Sharif approved the package based on recommendations from previous committees addressing the issue of missing persons.

The cabinet also reviewed the final report on this matter and agreed to form a special committee to assess genuine cases requiring assistance.
