The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain in parts of Sindh from May 2 to May 3 as a western weather system passes over the country.
This system is expected to impact northern Pakistan between May 1 and May 5, bringing rainfall to upper regions and scattered showers to Sindh in early May.
However, despite the anticipated rain, the heatwave continues in Sindh, and Karachi is likely to remain hot and humid with strong winds over the next two days.
The PMD has urged people to take precautions, stay well-hydrated, and avoid being out in the sun during the hottest parts of the day.
Elsewhere in the country, hot and dry weather is expected to persist, especially in central and southern areas.
Morning temperatures in major cities were recorded as follows: Islamabad 17°C, Lahore 27°C, Karachi 29°C, Peshawar 19°C, Quetta and Muzaffarabad 18°C, Gilgit 13°C, and Murree 16°C.
