Karachi weather update: Cool nights, moderate days expected

Karachi is set to enjoy moderate weather with cool nights over the next three days, while rain and snowfall impact the northern regions of Pakistan, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The minimum temperature in the city is expected to stay between 17°C and 19°C, while daytime temperatures will range from 30°C to 32°C, as reported by the Early Warning Centre of the meteorological department.

Stronger-than-usual winds are expected, with sea breezes and gusts coming from the northeast and west.

On Monday, the city is expected to have partly cloudy skies with humidity levels at 79%, while clear and sunny weather is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The pleasant spell is being attributed to consistent sea breezes and moderate humidity levels, keeping Karachi’s weather comfortable without any extreme heat or cold. No rain is expected during this period.

Meanwhile, in Punjab, a rain-bearing system has reached Lahore, bringing intermittent showers since early morning. The continuous rainfall has led to a significant drop in temperature.

Further north, snowfall is expected in Murree and Galiyat, prompting authorities to issue drainage alerts to prevent disruptions.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain and snowfall have returned, attracting tourists to scenic destinations. However, heavy snowfall has blocked roads in Upper Dir and other high-altitude areas, causing travel difficulties.
