The key porpose of this measure is to reduce traffic congestion and ensure public safety during peak commuting traffic hours. Law enforcement has been instructed to strictly enforce the ban, with penalties under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code for non-compliance.
Citizens are advised to use alternative modes for traveling and routes on these roads under the prohibition period. Authorities anticipate that the move will significantly improve traffic flow and reduce delays on the city’s busiest routes.
