ISLAMABAD: Rain and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several regions of Pakistan on Thursday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air continues to prevail in most areas of the country, while a westerly wave is present in the western regions and is likely to impact northern areas over the next 24 to 36 hours.
Given these weather patterns, rain and strong winds are anticipated in the twin cities, along with isolated spots in the Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday.
For Friday and Saturday, the weather in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and many parts of the country is expected to stay mainly hot and dry.
Forecasted Temperatures
Islamabad: Temperatures are likely to range between 32°C and 34°C on Thursday, and 31°C to 33°C on Friday.
Rawalpindi: Expected to stay between 30°C and 32°C on Thursday, and 29°C to 31°C on Friday.

Over the past 24 hours, hot and dry conditions prevailed across the twin cities and most parts of the country.
Hottest Locations
Chhor, Nawabshah, Tando Jam, and Turbat recorded the highest temperatures at 42°C. Hyderabad, Mithi, Lasbela, Padidan, Rohri, Sakrand, and Thatta followed closely with temperatures hitting 41°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature reached 33°C, with morning humidity recorded at 16%.
In Rawalpindi, the temperature peaked at 31°C, and morning humidity was noted at 9%.
