Islamabad weather update: Hot days, dry conditions expected in most areas

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise gradually on Monday and Tuesday across the plains of Pakistan.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air continues to control most parts of the country.

Under these conditions, dry weather will persist in most regions, with plain areas experiencing hot temperatures during the day.

However, isolated rain showers are likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The dry spell is expected to contribute to a steady increase in daytime temperatures across the plains until March 25.

In Islamabad, the minimum temperature on Monday and Tuesday is forecasted to range between 09°C and 11°C, while in Rawalpindi, it is expected to stay between 14°C and 16°C.

Over the past 24 hours, dry and hot weather prevailed in the plains, while hilly areas remained cold.

Leh recorded the lowest temperature in Pakistan, dropping to -06°C. Astore reported a minimum of -01°C, while Skardu and Ziarat recorded 01°C.

In Islamabad, the minimum temperature reached 09°C, with morning humidity recorded at 74%. In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature stood at 14°C, with morning humidity at 48%.
