Iran urges Trump to stop war while Israel claims “path to victory”

Iran urges US President Donald Trump to force Israel to a ceasefire to end the four-day aerial war, whereas Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentions that his country was on the “path to victory.” Israel rampaged with air bombardment on Iranian cities, yet Iran successfully retaliated, targeting Israeli cities, proving its missile power capability.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi states on X, “If President Trump is genuine about diplomacy and interested in stopping this war, next steps are consequential.” “Israel must halt its aggression, and absent a total cessation of military aggression against us, our responses will continue. It takes one phone call from Washington to muzzle someone like Netanyahu. That may pave the way for a return to diplomacy.” He adds.

Two Iranian and three regional sources told Reuters that Tehran has asked Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman to force Trump to use his authority on Israel to sign an immediate ceasefire. In return, Iran will be lenient in nuclear negotiations.

The Israeli PM told Israeli forces at an air base that Israel was on its way to achieving two main goals: wiping out the Iranian nuclear program and destroying its missiles. Talks between the United States and Iran, hosted by Oman, had been scheduled for Sunday but were scrapped, with Tehran saying it could not negotiate while under attack.
