Interior Minister orders action against illegal housing in Islamabad

The government has decided to launch a crackdown on illegal constructions in Islamabad, as reported on Sunday.

This decision was made in a meeting led by Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

During the meeting, the Interior Minister also ordered action against unauthorised houses and housing societies.

Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that officials must strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy on illegal construction.

He stated that all unlawful building activities should be stopped by using satellite mapping through the Land Information and Management System.

He stressed that providing top-quality services to Islamabad’s residents should be a priority, and no effort should be spared to safeguard their lives and property.

The Interior Minister urged officers to come up with new initiatives to make life easier for citizens, assuring full support for their implementation.

Additionally, he directed authorities to control the prices of essential goods effectively in Islamabad and to ensure the city remains clean during Eid-ul-Adha.
