India has reportedly raised a white flag at a post along the Line of Control (LoC), signaling a retreat after Pakistan’s forceful retaliation to recent Indian strikes.
This was revealed by Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar during a media briefing, where he emphasized that India had failed to present any credible proof linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident.
He condemned India’s attacks, noting that “the Indian forces had targeted innocent civilians in the strikes conducted in cities of Punjab and Azad Kashmir.” Reports suggest the white flag was seen at the Churha Complex post along the LoC.
India had carried out nighttime airstrikes on five locations deep within Pakistan’s borders, including Ahmadpur East and Muridke, marking the first such aggression since 2019.
Pakistani authorities described the attacks as a “cowardly and provocative act,” targeting civilian zones under the cover of darkness without breaching Pakistani airspace.
The deadly strikes resulted in the martyrdom of eight Pakistani citizens and injuries to at least 35 others, with two still missing. The attacks affected several areas, including Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh, and Muzaffarabad.
In a press briefing, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed that India launched 24 airstrikes using a range of weaponry. He detailed the destruction caused and affirmed that Pakistan responded swiftly and forcefully.
In an earlier interview with a U.S.-based news outlet, the ISPR chief revealed that the Pakistan Air Force had shot down two Indian fighter jets near Bhatinda in Punjab and Akhnoor in occupied Kashmir.
At 3:42 am, Pakistan’s national broadcaster PTV reported a third downing, a Rafale jet brought down 17 nautical miles southwest of Awantipora.

The five downed Indian aircraft reportedly included three Rafale jets, one Su-30MKI, and one MiG-29 Fulcrum.
In addition to the air victories, Pakistan’s military destroyed an Indian post in the Dhundial sector of the LoC and brought down an enemy drone, escalating tensions further in the region.
