Hot, humid weather persists in Karachi as interior Sindh hits 45.5°C

Although Karachi experienced active sea breezes, the city experienced hot and humid weather on Thursday, with the temperature hitting 37.5°C and humidity at 58%, making the heat feel even more intense, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The Early Warning Center predicts similar conditions for the next few days, with the temperature expected to rise to 38°C today and peak at 39°C on Saturday.

A widespread heatwave is forecast to persist across most parts of Sindh until April 30, with temperatures ranging 6 to 8 degrees above normal in many districts.

In interior areas like Tharparkar, Umarkot, and Mirpurkhas, the rise may be around 4 to 6 degrees above average.

Meanwhile, scorching temperatures were already recorded on Thursday, with Shaheed Benazirabad and Dadu both reaching 45.5°C.
