Honor Magic 6 & V2 series global launch at MWC 2024

Honor is set to globally launch its new smartphone series, the Honor Magic 6 and Honor Magic V2, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona on February 25.

The company confirmed this announcement via X (formerly Twitter), and the event will commence at 2:00pm CET (6:30pm IST).

The Honor Magic 6 series, introduced in China earlier, is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and runs on the MagicOS 8.0 skin based on Android 14.

The lineup includes the Honor Magic 6, Honor Magic 6 Pro, and the Porsche Design-branded Honor Magic V2 RSR.

The Honor Magic 6 series features an LTPO OLED display, triple rear cameras, and is equipped with a 5,450mAh battery for the regular model and a 5,600mAh cell for the Pro model.

Both models are IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. The Honor Magic V2 RSR, designed in collaboration with Porsche, boasts 16GB of RAM, 1TB storage, and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

It includes a 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired charging, a 6.43-inch cover display, and a 7.92-inch inner display, along with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary shooter.

The prices in the Chinese market for the Honor Magic 6 start at CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs. 50,000), while the Honor Magic 6 Pro is priced at CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs. 65,000) for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The Honor Magic V2 RSR, with its unique design, adds an interesting option to the foldable phone category.
