Regions Expected to Experience Storms and Rain:

The affected areas may include Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, and several cities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, such as Lahore, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, and Waziristan.

Additionally, rain and wind-thunderstorms are expected in Balochistan and southern Punjab, including Zhob, Barkhan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, D.I. Khan, and Layyah on May 24.

Safety Advisory:

The PMD cautioned that strong winds and lightning could damage weak structures, including electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels. Farmers are advised to plan their work accordingly to avoid loss or delays.

Importantly, the ongoing heatwave in upper regions is expected to ease temporarily due to the approaching weather system.
