The Balochistan government has officially announced Eidul Adha holidays from June 5 to June 8, with all offices reopening on June 9, according to local media reports.

At the federal level, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a four-day public holiday from Friday, June 6 to Monday, June 9, 2025, allowing citizens to enjoy an extended break with their families.
The early announcement, made a week before Eid, was well-received across Pakistan as it aligns with the weekend, giving people a chance to plan travel and gatherings in advance.
Eid-ul-Adha, or Bakra Eid, is one of the most important Islamic festivals, observed in remembrance of Hazrat Ibrahim’s (AS) devotion to God. Muslims will mark the occasion with special prayers, animal sacrifices, and time with family and friends.
During the holidays, government offices, banks, and most private organizations will remain closed. Transport stations are expected to be busy, as people head to their hometowns to celebrate the festival.
