Since the break includes the weekend, it offers a much-needed extended holiday for employees across the country.

Eid-ul-Adha, also known as Bakra Eid, holds immense religious significance for Muslims. It commemorates the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah’s command. Muslims across Pakistan observe the day with Eid prayers, animal sacrifice, and family gatherings.

Government offices, banks, and most private businesses will remain shut during these four days. Meanwhile, transport stations and highways are expected to be packed as people head to their hometowns to spend Eid with their loved ones.

With the holidays now confirmed, many are already diving into Eid shopping and planning get-togethers or mini-vacations to make the most of the long weekend.
