Karachi: The Government of Pakistan has established a Joint Task Force (JTF) to identify individuals involved in “harmful propaganda” against the state.

According to Radio Pakistan, the JTF will focus on identifying individuals, groups, and organizations responsible for fabricating and spreading false or misleading information.

The report states that the task force was formed in response to recent incidents of terrorism, vandalism, and campaigns aimed at disgracing the state in general and security forces.

It highlights that several domestic and international media platforms are being used to circulate fabricated and baseless news, portraying state institutions as violators of human rights.

Radio Pakistan further reports that this campaign aims to destabilize law and order in the country and incite ethnic and provincial discord for specific political gains.

The task force has been directed to submit its findings within ten days and promptly ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
