Google to introduce new Gemini model for personal context

Gemini is preparing to introduce its latest model, which will use users’ search history to enhance personalisation.

This new version, named “Gemini with Personal Context” or simply “Personalisation,” can be found in the model selector at the top of the screen on the web version.

The upcoming Gemini model appears to be an opt-in feature, offering “personalised help based on your Google Search history.” According to Google, this version of its AI chatbot will be linked to users’ search history once they enable it.

While using this model, users will have the option to disconnect it from their search history at any time, even though keeping it linked allows for improved accuracy based on past searches.

This AI tool is expected to integrate search history into responses, making it more effective in answering general queries. By accessing past searches, the chatbot can understand users better and provide responses tailored to their preferences.

However, Google has yet to reveal how it plans to position this model once it is officially launched, which is expected to happen in the near future.
