Gold prices surge by Rs8,000 per tola in just one day

On Monday, the price of 24-karat gold saw a rise of Rs7,800, reaching Rs350,000 per tola, compared to Rs342,200 the previous day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

After hitting a record high of Rs363,700, gold prices had dropped to Rs344,500 per tola last Friday, marking a decrease of nearly Rs20,000 from the peak.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs6,687, going up to Rs300,068 from Rs293,381. Similarly, the cost of 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs6,130, reaching Rs275,072 from Rs268,942.

Silver prices also went up, with per tola silver increasing by Rs43 to Rs3,425, and 10 grams of silver rising by Rs37 to Rs2,936.

In the international market, the price of gold surged by $76 to $3,316 from $3,240, while silver saw an increase of $0.43, reaching $32.43, as reported by the Association.
